What I do
I've worked across the range — writing the code, leading the
people, and running the business.
Engineering
Deep native mobile — Android from the beginning, iOS alongside it, and Kotlin Multiplatform since 2018. I've shipped developer tooling used across that ecosystem, including SKIE and the first Kotlin Multiplatform app in the App Store. Still hands-on, though these days that increasingly means directing AI agents rather than typing every line.
Technical leadership
I ran Touchlab for more than a decade: hiring, setting technical direction, and deciding where to place bets. Much of the work was embedding with client engineering teams on architecture and adoption decisions, which is as much about how a team actually operates as it is about the code.
Building from zero
Founded Touchlab in 2011 and co-founded Ntive Labs. I also helped start droidcon New York and ran its first three conferences, plus the NYC Android meetup — an education in budgets, sponsors, vendors, and shipping something against a hard deadline.
